Since 2021, Axiom Consultants has been proud to serve as the City Engineer for the City of Riverside, IA.
Under this mantle, we provide comprehensive planning, design, and construction management services for Capital Improvement Projects. We also serve an administrative role - overseeing consultant submittals for private work being completed within the city limits, and providing oversight and peer review.

Railroad Park Project
PARKS and RECREATION
Railroad Park is a focal point to the City of Riverside. The park is home to a playground area for children of all ages, as well as walking trails, a gazebo, restrooms, and the Captain Kirk statue. This project will include replacing the playground surface sand with a new colored, poured-in-place, soft fall material, which will make the park and equipment accessible for all. In addition, two additional pieces of playground equipment will be added including accessible swings and a Ten Spin. The Railroad Park Improvements will also include the addition of 27 parking stalls along River Street and S Hickory Street, sidewalk connections, and reconstruction of S Hickory Street as it improves alignment, turning movements, and sight distance.
3rd Street Reconstruction Project
ROADWAY and UTILITY
Third Street, located just North of downtown, runs through many blocks of residential neighborhoods. New design of the project incorporates necessary grading, paving, and utility improvements. Construction is slated to begin in Spring 2022. The project has been bid out and awarded to Streb Construction of Iowa City.
